WALK with ME

I am entering this into the November sketch challenge at "Once Upon A Sketch"
        http://www.onceuponasketchblog.blogspot.co.nz/

 The journalling reads:
"Nanny Kaz gave me my handbag so I can go walking with mummy."

Unfortunately the shadows make it difficult to see her wee bag.
I tried to do a close-up but it didn't work!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY

Another fortnight has flown by and it is my turn for the Southern Girls Challenge.
This time it's all about "FLOWERS"
Flowers anyway you want!
I decided on over kill.....Ha Ha Ha.....
But I did a lot of texture with dabber paints, misting, masking, stamping and modelling paste.
Oooooh...inky, messy, yukky!!
Also in there is an art tile I made and a resin button and the top piece that I made and painted.
I love making all these different elements for a page. I used my new chicken wire diecut that I bought at Senz! Also in there is a piece of a Martha Stewart fence die.

These are flowers I was given a while ago from my daughter. It's always very special. The photo doesn't do them justice at all.
Thanks for stopping by.

HERE COMES THE BRIDE

This is my gorgeous niece on her wedding day just as she found out she would have to get married up on the "Rockin Ropes".
She and hubby [to be] won a radio competition and had 72 hours
to organise the wedding!! That is....HE had to organise the wedding with his best mate. SHE with her best mate were whisked off to Sydney with one of the radio people to make sure there was absolutely NO contact with hubby to be. HE had to arrange
EVERYTHING.
HE did an amazing job [with the help of $10,000 from the radio station]. Because of this type of event HE did get a lot of freebies or nearly freebies...
Also this all happened at 8.30 AM !! but we had to be there at 7AM !!
But just think about HER, she had to be up by 5.30AM to be ready for the BIG event.
That was the first time she laid eyes on her wedding dress!
It was an amazing morning with a lot of laughter due to the high ropes. Even the celebrant had to be up there.
A wedding to be truly remembered.

The man in the background of her veil is her Dad [My brother].
How clever was I to capture that!!! LOL....

UNIQUE

Well here we are again with another fortnightly challenge at Southern Girls http://southerngirlschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/
This time it's all about "PEARLS" however and wherever you like.
I had fun with liquid pearls. Had trouble stopping as you can see. Hee Hee.........
The lovely people at Artfulcrafts have once again provided me with beautiful pps and embellies.
I have used "My Minds Eye" Indie Chic pps, brads and pearls and Cantaloupe Liquid Pearls.
Love this colour.
I also used a TH flourish die and  Whimsy flourish and Frame dies and used my camera stamp with a brad from the pp collection.

These are pics of my gorgeous girls some 14 years ago.
Can't believe it was that long ago!!

REMEMBER THIS MOMENT

This is a fun sketch challenge over at Girlie Grunge http://donnasalazardesigns.ning.com/ for June.
They have all sorts of  techniques that I love to try.
Natashas super eyelet lacing and making lovely flowers from the Donna Salazer spellbinders roses.
Also distressing and using paint medium.
Fun, Fun, Fun..........

I have used D S Antiquities paper, the DS spellbinders "roses" diecut and the DS spellbinders "shadow flowers" die. Also the DS "fairydust glitter" on the flowers.
This is my niece with her parents at her fun wedding in May.
